Dr. Jeff Kader obtained his doctorate in veterinary medicine from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Montreal in June 1989. He started by doing mixed animal practice from 1989 to 2001 which were predominantly equine, race track, beef and dairy cattle and small animals. In 2001, he purchased Clinique Vétérinaire de Hull and expanded the practice in 2012 to a new and larger location.
He appreciates and enjoys all aspects of the profession, from complicated and challenging orthopaedic surgeries, foreign objects to the common vaccination and general health exams. At home, he has Beasley, a long haired cat that enjoys being outside as much as he can.
Dr. Kader feels privileged to be surrounded by animals and it has been an honour to help people with their pets, whether it is a small rat, rabbit, dog, cat, pig or horse. In his spare time, he enjoys swimming, running, skiing, biking, motorcycle touring (1200GS), playing harmonica, travelling and relaxing by the lake.
Dr. Josée Chantigny received her doctorate in veterinary medicine from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the Université de Montréal in June 2012. She has been a member of the Clinique Vétérinaire de Hull since graduation. In this picture, you can see her cat Mika.
As a new mom of 2 boys and pet parent to two cats and two dogs, Dr. Chantigny’s spare time is filled with family activities. Her family spends a lot of time outdoors, since her children and animals enjoy it so much.
Dr. Mélanie Legacy is originally from New-Brunswick. She graduated from the University of Montréal in 2006, obtaining her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Legacy has been a member of the Clinique Vétérinaire de Hull since 2007. She enjoys small animal practice. On a professional level, she has a particular interest for surgery, notably dentistry.
An animal lover from a very young age, Dr. Legacy currently has a 9 year old Labrador mix named Maui. Physical activity has always been an intrinsic part of her life and it reflects in both Dr. Legacy’s personal and professional activities. A parent to two boys, she hopes to share her passion for animals, travel, outdoor activities, biking and hiking with her sons.
Dr. Sarah Nazir graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2015 and obtained her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Nazir has been a member of the clinic since June 2015. Originally from Ottawa, Dr. Nazir is happy to be working close to home. She has loved animals from a young age and has always been interested in working with them as a career.
Dr. Nazir loves to travel and has volunteered to work with animals in Asia, Africa and Europe. In her free time, she enjoys playing softball, painting and spending time with her cat Paco. Dr. Nazir is excited to be working at the clinic and is looking forward to helping owners and their pets.
Dr. Michael Viezel graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1976. Since graduation, Dr. Viezel restricted his practice to small animals exclusively, working initially in Hudson, Quebec, before moving to Hawkesbury in 1978 where he met his wife, Lise. For 25 years, Dr. Viezel was a partner in his practice in Cornwall where he and Lise raised their two children, Rebecca and Steven.
AIn 2008, Dr. Viezel decided to sell his share of the practice to two associates and continue working with small animals as a relief veterinarian in Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec. Dr. Viezel has been a member of the Clinique Vétérinaire de Hull since 2013.
As for other interests, Dr. Viezel was involved in hockey as an owner and scout for the Erie Otters as well as scout and general manager of the Hawkesbury Hawks. He enjoys photography, predominantly wildlife, of course, as well as cycling (a newer activity) and fishing. Still, veterinary medicine and surgery are his life’s work and apart from his family, he finds the most joy in meeting and helping people and their precious pets.
Jenn started working at the clinic in August 2002. Over the years, she expanded her knowledge in the veterinary field and received recognition as an animal health technician from l’Ordre des médecins vétérinaires in 2007. Throughout the years, she expanded her experience as a receptionist, animal health technician and manager. Jenn is presently the hospital administrator for the clinic. She has enjoyed performing non-profit work in the veterinary industry and has travelled to Panama with Dr. Kader to perform spay and neuter clinics.
When Jenn is not working, she enjoys being at home in the country with her fur babies. Jenn has 2 dogs, Ellie (Australian Shepherd) and Casey (Golden Retriever), 3 cats; Callie, Blue & Inka and her rabbit with severe attitude, Moe. She enjoys road trips, gardening, walking the dogs and boating in the 1000 Islands.
Anne has been working at the Clinique Vétérinaire de Hull since 2011 as a veterinary assistant and receptionist. Anne enjoys being outdoors at the cottage, camping and fishing during the nice Canadian weather. During winter, she enjoys escaping the cold and travelling down South. Anne has 2 senior cats aged 81/2 and 14, and last year she adopted a female Corgi mix aged 21/2. Her fur babies certainly keep her busy!
Anne-Marie received her veterinary technician diploma from the University of Guelph, Alfred Campus, in 2014. She has been a member of the Clinique Vétérinaire de Hull since February 2015. She enjoys working at the clinic and helping people along with their pets. Anne-Marie has two cats (Rookie and Sheldon) and a dog, Hunter. In her spare time, she practices swimming and cycling and admires walking with Hunter in the woods.
Cyndie-Kristine obtained her animal health technician diploma from Collège Boréal in May 2009. She has been a member of the Clinique Vétérinaire de Hull since October 2009. At a very young age, Cyndie-Kristine knew she wanted to work with animals. At home she has 2 very curious cats: Nela and Jewels. In her spare time, Cyndie-Kristine enjoys traveling to her hometown in Hearst, Ontario.
Geneviève D., tsa
Geneviève received her veterinary technician diploma in 2013 from the Cégep de Sherbrooke. Geneviève joined the Clinique Vétérinaire de Hull in December 2016. Although she loves all animals, she has a special place in her heart for feline patients. She has 2 cats, Oliver Twist and Everest, who are 9 and 8 years old respectively.
Genevieve is a passionate individual who likes to enjoy what life has to offer: food, adventure and travel. She is also a huge fan of outdoor sports and literature.
Geneviève has been a member of the Clinique Vétérinaire de Hull team since 2013. She graduated from Collège Boréal, Alfred Campus, in 2012. From a young age, she discovered her passion for animals, especially for dogs. As a veterinary technician, she is very interested in surgery and canine behaviour.
At home, she keeps busy and active with her two dogs and her two cats. She likes to have long walks with her dogs here in the region and enjoys bringing them on holidays to discover new paths. In her spare time, she likes cooking and making decorating projects at home. She also loves traveling and photography. In the near future, she plans to deepen her knowledge of animal behavior and canine training and obedience.
Valerie received her animal health technician diploma in 2002 at the University of Guelph’s Alfred Campus. Valerie currently works part time at the Clinique Vétérinaire de Hull as she didn’t want to lose her passion of working with animals. Valerie has a busy household that includes her son, her dog Caina (Pitbull mix) and her cat, Bruce Wayne.
Jérémie obtained his animal health technician diploma from Collège Boréal in December 2015. He joined the Clinique Vétérinaire de Hull in April 2016 and has brought a positive vibe to our clinic. Reptiles, from snakes to lizards, have always been a passion of his. In his spare time, he likes to paint and watch films. For now, despite his love for animals, he only has one Siamese cat named Johnny.
Originally from New-Brunswick, Karine received her diploma as an animal health technician from the University of Guelph, Alfred Campus, in 2006. Karine has been working at the Clinique Vétérinaire de Hull since 2006 and is now the clinic’s senior veterinary technician.
At a very young age, she knew she always wanted to work with animals. Karine has been involved with a volunteer spay and neuter clinic in Laos with Dr. Kader and organizes local spay and neuter clinics for non-profit organizations in the region. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, traveling and cooking.
Krystal graduated from the University of Guelph, Alfred Campus, in 2014. She joined the clinic following her internship. In her spare time, she enjoys nature with her big doggie, Mason. She also loves to cuddle with her small senior Chihuahua, Moumou and her two cats, Turbo & Nitto. Having grown up around pets and being passionate about animals, Krystal has a great weakness for sturdy dogs, just like her Rottweiler. Krystal enjoys campfires with her friends. Krystal wishes to enlarge her big furry family.
Maria has been a member of the Clinique Vétérinaire de Hull since 2013 as a veterinary assistant and receptionist. Maria enjoys meeting our special furry patients. Maria completed the Veterinarian Assistant course in 2007 and has enjoyed working in the veterinary field ever since.
Although she is particularly fond of dogs, including huskies and Irish Wolfhounds, all animals are special to her. Her passion for animals took her across the globe on African Safari tours and deep into Australia’s wilderness. The call of the wild has always been close to her heart.
Martine started working at the Clinique Vétérinaire de Hull in April 2016. Martine joined the team with experience from another clinic. Martine is always smiling when you come in the clinic and wanting to help any clients or patients who enter. Her personal life is quite busy as well; she is a mother and grandmother of 2, she also has 4-legged animals that keep her on her toes. She has 2 dogs: Lady (Shih-Tzu) and Maggidoune (Lhasa Apso) and 3 cats: Gripette, Louis and Toothless.
Melody graduated from Algonquin College in 2013 and obtained her diploma in the veterinary assistant program. She has been part of the Clinique Vétérinaire de Hull since June 2015. Melody has a 7 year old Siberian husky named Shadow, along with 2 Chihuahuas, Max and Zoe. She loves to travel, practice yoga and exploring her artistic side through pastry making, cake baking and painting.
Roxanne received her veterinary technician diploma at the University of Guelph’s Alfred Campus in 2014. She joined the clinic shortly after graduation and has been working full time since January 2015. Having always been surrounded by animals from a very young age, Roxanne loves being an animal health technician and helping animals along with their owners.
She wants to expand her knowledge further by becoming certified with the Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians (OAVT). In her spare time, Roxanne loves adventure-seeking through canoe-camping with her family and her two dogs, Gypsie (Pug mix) and Chaplin (Husky mix). Passionate about nature and the arts, she belongs to a small wood-burning company where she makes portraits of animals and other rustic objects.
